Summer is here and it’s sweltering. In my mind, there is nothing wrong with a little skin and keeping cool. Torn denim has always been an eternal favorite of mine; it makes me feel rebellious and sexy whether short or long. I love heels even in a fete; it’s just the girly girl in me but there’s always treading that fine line of comfort and looking good. I scored these Nine West shoes for under $20.00 at Ross along with some other footwear this past Christmas. The thick heel makes walking, chipping and dancing that much easier and the POP of color is right up my alley. My other summer staple is this cute cloth & fringe bag by Le Gendre (handbags by Khadeidra). Check her out on Instagram @le.gendre; you won’t be disappointed. I absolutely ADORE this festival, crochet crop top by H&M. The color pops against my skin tone and it’s sexy, sweet and cool for any fete or festival. My last and most important accessory: skin. Bare as it may be, it’s so important to nurture and nourish one of the most important organs of the body. My fave ways to keep my skin radiant are loufas , soaps based with Shea butter, African black soap or tea tree oil; cocoa butter or coconut oil. I could go on but that’s a whole other post. Sunscreen is a must too! In the meantime, stay cool and love the skin you’re in.
