It’s summertime; and with the current health and racial pandemic, I wanted to shout out some of my FAVORITE black-owned and Caribbean brands that I’ve personally bought from and had the pleasure to work with.

Xyzen Swim
Xyzen Swim is black owned and Caribbean and does trendy swimwear and fete wear (whenever carnival comes back – sigh); so check out their website here.
Nichole Nyel
After the flurry of #supportblackedownedbusiness posts on social media; I’ve been trying to find cute boutiques that sell my personal style of clothing and one of them I found is Nichole Nyel. I recently bought these cinched high waisted torn denim that one of my followers called “hoochie in the front and mama in the back”.
Hot Kandii Swim
A Jamican brand that sells really cute, “hawt” swimwear. Hot Kandii Swim sent me over two bikinis that I absolutely love especially this zebra-print “sexy-kini” that’s literally adjustable. Check out the mini haul video here.
Citizens & Heirs
This is literally one of my favorite custom pieces of clothing, a coat by Jade of Citizen and Heirs. Lined with a pretty purple fabric; I can’t wait for the weather to cool down to wear this again and again..
Isl Gyal
A Caribbean owned business that specializes in dainty and statement jewelry with a Caribbean flair. Check out some of their statement pieces below and a haul we collaborated on for the gram.

Fenty Beauty
I use so many Fenty Beauty products I can’t keep track. My FAVORITE is the Stunna Lip Paint in shade Uncensored – a very pretty red especially on dark skin. I also use the Sunstalkr Bronzer everytime I put on makeup to warm up and bronze my face and on my eyes I use the Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara (Cuz I’m Black) and the Flyliner for eyeliner.
Love YC. Co
This denim bandeau top is an OLD top from the Jamaican brand Love YC; it’s incredible how long it’s lasted. I love this brand; I also ordered a romper from them but I no longer have it and that makes me sad. I’m glued to their IG to see what new drops they come up with for Summer 2020 and some new tiiiings I can pick up for fete wear for maybe carnival 2021.
Mielle Organics
During quarantine, I was bored in the house and in the house BORED. I saw this flash $6 dollar sale on Mielle Organics products on Twitter. I had never tried it but for $6 dollars a product; I was like why not. I ended up loving the RoseMary & Mint oil which is super hydrating for my hair and the RoseMary & Mint Strengthening hair masque. Check out the video below for more about using Mielle Organics products on locs.
The Jungalow
Another black owned brand I am loving is the Jungalow who specialize in home decor. They had that bohemian, islandy, eclectic vibe I love when I look at Pinterest boards for home decor inspo. So I ended up purchasing the Silvia Teal & Berry Rug that I absolutely adoreee but my cats have also fallen in love with it as well.
Savage X Fenty
This black owned and Caribbean business; Savage X Fenty is definitely becoming a staple for me. My faves from their collections are the Glissenette bodysuit and the Neon Nights unlined bra, brief and slip.
Check out the rest of the haul I did here. Riri definitely knows what she’s doing when it comes to lingerie.
Winifred Taylor Swim
And last but not least, this neon swimmie by Winifred Taylor reminds me of better, carefree days. The multi-tie bandeau top can be worn in sooooooo many ways so its so many bikinis in one. Here’s to more beach days in the future.
