Going to carnival can be synonymous with gaining weight (because of all the yummy Caribbean food) and not being as active as usual, plus alcohol consumption and lack of sleep. But for those of us who regularly exercise, we want to still enjoy this aspect of our lives, as moving our bodies makes us feel better. Staying consistent with fitness routines help with maintaining energy and can also improve your mood. So, here are ways to reach your fitness goals while at carnival or on holiday while still having fun:Â
1. Setting Fitness Goals During Festival Time
Many carnivals involve walking, jumping and dancing around, so that’s obviously a great way to get your steps in. Many places have bike rentals, which are a great way to see more of the city or country you’re in while getting exercise.
