Where To Stay In Nassau Bahamas – Goldwynn Resorts Bahamas

Posted on September 27, 2025

If I could describe Goldwynn Resorts Bahamas in Nassau – I’d call it a little luxurious slice of paradise in the bustle and hustle that is Nassau (New Providence), The Bahamas. I think if you’re looking to completely shut your mind off and bask in relaxation, quiet and wellness then this is the perfect place to stay in Nassau for several reasons.

Fun facts about Goldwynn Resorts and travel to Nassau, Bahamas

  • Airport code NAS (Sir Lynden Pindling International Airport)
  • Currency used is 1 USD to 1 BSD
  • Goldwynn Resorts Bahamas is half resort and half residences
  • Goldwynn Resorts is not an all inclusive hotel. Water sports equipment such as canoes/paddles and snorkeling equipment are complimentary as well as the beach chairs and umbrellas.
  • They have several restaurants and a beach bar, OIA at Goldwynn, Amara Beach Bar, Atria, Bar Paul
  • They have a gym and spa (Rhizophora Spa)
  • The hotel is conveniently located on Goodman’s Bay (beach) and is 9 minutes away from Arawak Cay/Fish Fry and 16 minutes away (drive) from Downtown Nassau

Peace and Quiet

So pulling up onto the property, you’re greeted with a complimentary drink and the staff is very friendly (as Bahamian people naturally are). The double doors open to walls adorned with Bahamian art (by local Bahamians) and a few steps towards another set of double doors bring you to a view where blues melt into each other (from the infinity pool to the sky). This oasis is undoubtedly serene even being located on the West Bay Street/Cable Beach Strip. And if you want to add a little nightlife and excitement, its about 15-16 minutes away from downtown Nassau and neighboring hotels.

Luxe & Spacious

After check- in we were then escorted to our rooms. I stayed in a 1 bedroom, oceanfront suite.

The suite had a living room area with a pull-out couch, balcony and terrace in both the bedroom and living room with outdoor furniture (perfect for guests/family) and an amazing ocean and infinity pool view. It was magical waking up to these blues every day.

Spa, Fitness & Wellness

The way this resort is set up makes you feel like you’re actually living here. The gym is conveniently placed on the first floor right next to the Rhizophora Spa that offers various spa treatments. The resort hosts wellness events weekly like “yoga on the lawn”. You can also take advantage of the complimentary water sports equipment. I did a test run with the paddle boards and canoe -then fully took advantage of the floating loungers in the water.

Dining In Or Out

There’s several of on-site restaurants that serve food from morning til night. OIA at Goldwynn does both breakfast and dinner. My favorite would be brunch outdoors overlooking the ocean. Dinner is a play on Mediterranean and Asian dishes that are shareable for the table if you order several at once.

The Atria is the perfect spot for a “quick morning pick-up” serving coffees and pastries.  One of my other favorites is the Amara Beach Club where you can sit outdoors by the beach bar and order lunch, small bites and a few drinks (try the Amara Spritz).

Bar Paul is a good, chill time that opens up into a lounge where you can order drinks and parlay with friends/family.

Have you stayed at Goldwynn Resorts before? Would you consider it? Leave me a comment and if you are planning – use my discount code BAHAMIANISTA on all stays before December 17th, 2025 ( 2 night minimum) to save 35% off. Happy travels!
