Gosh! You know in reality, when everyday is not a photo shoot with great lighting or the perfect photographer and all you have are some close friends, street art and an iPhone when you’re wearing a particularly cool outfit.
It was just one of those days commuting from the Bronx to Williamsburg with some friends and there was literally no time to stop and organize an impromptu shoot. But you know what, that’s real life and there is such a candid beauty of just living in moments, random selfies and enjoying life around you, unplanned and just real.
I posted this outfit on Instagram on @bahamianista but thought it was too fun not to put on the blog.
I haven’t been to Brooklyn in about a year or so and there’s just something about it that makes me feel free. The streets, the people, the vibe. If I could pick a city and have an endless cash supply; I would totally move back. This outfit was inspired by AfroPunk festival (which I did not attend for lack of tickets and time)and just the laid back, hipster vibe of the city streets. I paired this African print top with some comfortable torn denim shorts and my low blue strapped wedges. This purple lip stain that I also wore HERE was the icing on the cake. Can I tell y’all how much I love this brand of lip stain. It literally stays on all day.
